What Is Dialysis?

Dialysis is a treatment that helps remove waste products and excess fluid from the blood when the kidneys are no longer able to perform this function effectively.

What Happens During Treatment?

• You will be seated comfortably during treatment.
• A dialysis machine will filter your blood.
• Treatment usually lasts about 3 to 4 hours.
• Our trained nurses monitor your vital signs throughout the session.

What Should You Bring?

• A light blanket or sweater
• Headphones or entertainment
• A small snack if permitted
• Your medication list
